| Elias Christeas Elias grew up racing dirt bikes on the east coast and recall's spending almost every weekend restoring various British cars on the driveway with his father. Since then, he has performed all of the maintenance and repairs on his own rover, his girlfriend's rover and his friend's rover; Elias soon became the "go to" guy on his block to fix all of his neighbor's rovers! Requiring an increased and detailed knowledge of repair work, Elias soon took to the various Land Rover forums on the web where he was immediately inspired by the countless others who clearly displayed the same type of passion for the brand, the work, and each other. This positive sense of community and fellowship is the seed from which "In Search of the Experience" grew and Elias is proud to embark upon a project that will do justice to and honor a dedicated band of brother's (and sister's!) in one of the most exciting sub-cultures of motor sports. Elias currently lives in Southern California and works on the camera crew for a TV show. | Hovik Mossessi My love of the Land Rover began early on in my childhood, back in the old country where most of the four wheel drive vehicles were either the Mighty Range Rover, the rugged Series Rovers or the Jeep. I always wished that when I grew up one day I could also drive one of the greatest automobiles built on earth and by that I mean the Land Rover of course. One day I was looking out the window and I see this Series III 88" pulling into our driveway, and I gasped for air and I was thinking and wishing and hoping please God let it be ours a few minutes later the door opened and my father stepped out of this magnificent 4x4 and out of sheer joy I rushed down the stairs to see the new family car it was a great surprise, it was a 7-seater, three in the front and four folding chairs in the back and the smell of the new car was intoxicating, Land Rovers have a unique smell and it stays on for ever it seems. My father was my new hero for a long time to come, we set out on adventure after adventure every weekend, you couldn't keep me from his Rover on the weekend getaways, no matter how hard he tried to just go out with the boys somehow I managed to include myself by tying my hand to the door knob in the middle of the night and slept next to the car so he would get it in his head that I was part of this Rover and without me there would be no adventure. I spent the best years of my life with the family Rover I was only eleven at the time. It was only for three years but it was the greatest three years of my life. My father continued his adventures without me for the next few years and I flew to United States to attend High school and then to university and so on.
Now like my father have a Land Rover, Mine is a Discovery II and I'm continuing my adventures just as he did. The adventure continues.... Currently I live in Los Angeles, California and work as an IT Administrator and the President of LegalJiffy.com, I'm also the acting President of Southern California Land Rover Club. | Jamie S. Brown I am a videographer, editor and makeup artist, who has spent the last 3 years creating commercials and short films in Virginia. After graduating from JMU I decided to make the move to Los Angeles, CA. My work has always been on the cutting edge, I've chased trucks through the red clay of Virginia, Stalked the prison cells of haunted penitentiaries, and been elbow deep in gallons of fake blood. I joined this production because I, personally wanted to see this community from an outsider perspective. The enthusiasm I encountered in my first meeting with Elias attracted me to know more about this unusual group and learn what makes them so different, yet so alike. As a videographer I want to capture the good, bad, and simply amazing points of the 7000 mile trip and interactions that come along the way. With every person I tell about this adventure I am reminded, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that can be captured forever... |
